I helped financed these projects.. I don’t if how popular the first episode was in terms of sales.
But LuciaFilms has said they will be more down the line if they sell well
I would love to see Popcorn Nightmare 2 at some point with Lucy. Dakota & Piper (or with Ariana) as they were all in the Film… I might have changed one of the 2 commentary if we planned to have all 3 in them from the start. But it was later development.
Wish I had the money to get these ladies into a haunted house. Lol
Hello to the brilliant director at luciafilms, as well as the writers and everyone else involved,
Although I’ve been a member of this site for a long time, my first actual viewing was only half an hour ago. (I’m sorry that my first viewing was on a pirated site, where I watched the Wonderous Woman series, but I have to say the plot of this trilogy is amazing. It’s hard to imagine what I’ve been missing all these years…)
I’d like to make a small suggestion. As a non-native English speaker, my English is very, very poor (even this comment was translated by AI). So, would it be possible to add subtitles to your films? I don’t know if that would increase costs, and if it’s too much trouble, please just pretend I didn’t say anything.
Actually, with my poor listening and reading skills and AI’s help, even without subtitles I can still understand roughly what the film is about. But with a film like this interview-style one, if I can’t accurately understand what the actors are saying, I miss out on so much of the fun.
Also, I’m currently browsing other McKenzie films on shg, and I noticed she hasn’t been involved in your productions for a long time. Has she retired?
More little highlights after watching it a few times
– Tagline for the popcorn series should be “That was really HOT! in temperature and in….” 🙂
– The Editing by Lucia just adds something to it. The effects & reference to others film and for lucia to add those elements in is a lovely touch
– The flow was beautiful… adding a couple of intermissions into the film breaking it up nicely
– Also really appreciated the girls chatting about all producers. in the SHL interview & Commentary. it was pretty much just focused on the SHL film and I completely understand why. But it was nice in this to have lots of chats and off shoots to chatting about some Rye Work or Lucy’s Production work or TBFE stuff…
– Dakota mentioning she watches SHIP films that she isn’t in. And Piper also mentioning she watches SHIP Films
– Love how all 3 girls are invested in the viewing experience
– Really intriguing look into nightmare 2 behind the scenes. if I knew the Piper and Lucy we’re going to be available (which l didn’t know and even think about) I probably would have maybe chosen nightmare 2 as a commentary. so I’m really glad that gets a few references and they go into some of the experiences of that film which all three girls did star in (to some degree)
So I helped bring this to life. I commissioned these 2 films & helped Fund it with Lucia.
This all came about after I saw the commentary Dakota did with SHL and loved it… And just thought I would love to see her talk and experience watching my favourite films of hers with my Favourite producer Lucia.
So back in May… I reached out to Lucia about possibly doing something like this. But straight after that I broke my patellar tendon in 3 places, had leg surgery…. so the next few months was brutal.. learning to walk again. So I forgot about it until less than a month ago, I reached out again and then everything moved very quickly.
I wanted to do 2 films that were very different. The reason ultimately settled on doing Pretty Bird 2 & Power Source 2 was because these 2 films of Dakota went to places that no other SHIP film went too. Pretty Bird 2 was actually the first film i actually bought and fell in love with (so it will always have a special place in my heart)
it was Lucia that mentioned the idea of bringing in Lucy & Spicy (now Piper) if they could get everyone together! and LOOK it happened! And what was created in this popcorn fun was beyond anything i could have imagined… They just took what SHL did and run with it and created something bigger, badder, bolder
Whats incredible is that the girls are like us… there watching it, having fun with it and experience those emotions that I experienced watching it. You get great chemistry, banter and insight into these films whether its the process filming it or getting to understand there process as acting it. How they got into the industry and how they stay motivated to do better.
This was a passion project of mine. I don’t have to funds to pay $6000 for a custom or something like this that… I was able to contribute to this but having the passion backing of Lucia that really wanted to do this and was able to cover the rest of the cost was a dream.
I don’t know if this is going to be successful and people are going to buy them. I truly recommend you do cos I think you’ll fall in love with Dakota. Lucy & Piper even more!

I always thought this could be something that easily could be done when the industry is having those quieter moments where there isn’t alot of new films being made. Obviously you went big with bring more girls in and being it on set/your home.
SHL/Dakota did it cheaper with doing it solely online & with 1 person. Maybe customers that want there film to have a commentary could do cheaper option in the future. if this doesn’t sell well & they still want that experience going forward?

What a great idea! Any behind-the-scenes stuff is super interesting to me, and this is a really fun and sexy format in which to do that job.
I love it too! And it was really fun to watch in real-time as well. Even I learned several new things!

Also, you all aren’t done making movies, right? Can we get an idea of what might be coming down the pike?
It all depends on if these do well or not! They require a loooooot of scheduling and editing, though it is fun. If these two releases do well (both have already been filmed) then I will make a post for questions before I do anymore. This is all a fun experiment.
And we’re trying! Rough time to be a producer but there are a few customs in discussion and a very combat heavy fight oriented original later this month!
I really appreciate what LuciaFilms is doing in 2026. Most of the other producers have to some degree downsized this year (for understandable reasons) but it feels like you guys have taken the bull of the horns and taken advantage of the gap in the market place. Really hope its paying off for you guys in sales 🙂
2026 has been an incredible year for me in the amount of films I’ve got and loved! And LuciaFilms is the biggest part of that

Hopefully their are ones for Starshame 1 and 2 would be cool to see opinions on those movies they are some of my favorite movies
We will see! Depends on how these two do. They are extremely niche concepts to sell on their own, but they still require a lot of work to get them done to this degree. So hopefully the results match up well enough that it is something we can continue exploring with more movies and talent down the line. Science!
