I think the current recurring actresses might be the best we’ve had in this genre. Ophelia and Kayla are both amazing in either heroine or villain roles. I don’t think any actress has given more to the genre than coco.

NOTE: Part Deux and Part Trois will have NO PIE, so those allergic to tarte à la crème will have peace of mind before they buy and make their own cream pies

Yes I do understand “Custom”. I understand TBFE is getting paid to produce this crap!
I see plenty of talent out there. so why Can’t TBFE produce their own stuff anymore?
maybe TBFE can steal talent away from Primal Fetish? Primal has excellent talent.

          • TBFE TBFE says:

Michael. This has been covered elsewhere in the thread as well as in multiple other threads through the years. Very simply put, TBFE cannot afford to produce their own films. There aren’t enough copies sold of each film to support the project or shoot our own productions. This of course due to the content being niche. And before you might respond with something about we would sell more copies if we produced our own films, we’ve tried it multiple times through the years and it’s simply not the case. Most producers in this neck of the woods follow a similar strategy in an effort to continue delivering content and for the few hold outs that self produce, it’s challenging to say the least. Not sure how you view talent but nobody has contracts anymore and talent doesn’t work for one company or another save some of the larger companies. Therefore, we all technically hire from the same “talent pool”, although we personally do try to offer as many local options as possible in an effort to keep costs in check for custom clients.

Have you ever gone outside? Away from the internet, there are many different geographical locations with vast distances between them. As far as I know, Primal Fetish and TBFE are not in the same place in the world.

In all seriousness, though, I will explain the custom business model to you since it does legitimately seem like you don’t understand it (which is fine). Making a video costs a lot of money. You have to pay the actresses and actors for their time. If they aren’t local to the area the movie is being shot in, you have to fly them in and pay for them to stay in a hotel. You have to pay a crew of boom mic operators, camera operators, make-up people and probably others. You have to feed these people while they work a very long day or two. Depending on the video, you have to make or obtain a costume. You have to pay for the space to shoot in. Depending on the level of pornography, there might be some medical things that are required. Then you have to pay people to edit it, if you don’t do all of that yourself. And there are probably several other things I’m not even thinking of.

In other words, they become very expensive (multiple thousands of dollars). If TBFE produces all of their own stuff, they have to pay for all of this. Then the sales of the videos need to not only recoup all of the costs of actually making it, but further go on to support buying all of the equipment and general life things like being able to live somewhere and eat food. Because these movies aren’t something you can put together in an hour or two after work.

So the business model allows customers to pick exactly what happens in exchange for covering a portion of the costs that I mentioned above. If TBFE produces their own stuff, they gain the ability to dictate what happens in the video which has no monetary value, in exchange for being multiple thousand dollars deeper in the hole when the video is released.

The reason this arrangement works is because dictating what happens in the video does have legitimate value to the customers.

I have decided to double down on the flour and go extra pie just for you. My next custom with Sir Allen will involve a villain known as Mr. Custard. As legend has it, Mr. Custard owned Reynolds Pie Shop before a crusty customer burned his shop to the ground over a delivery dispute. Mr. Custard, in ruins, blames Batgirl for not saving his business. He plans to make Batgirl EAT it in every way, turning Batgirl into his own savory pastry, “Battered Girl.” Batgirl is left a cake faced sweet tart for Mr. Custard to treat upon. In a twist of fate, Mr. Custard and that “crusty” customer are the same person! It turns out that the customer, angry that no one would make the pie his way for free, decided to go full baked and burn down all the pie stores in town. The story ends with a crazed Mr. Custard playing with himself repeating the lines “No one like pie, no one likes pie.”

I’m not bored with Ophelia. As far as I am concerned, these are the good old days. Dark, Ninja Bitch, and Power Down were some of the best portrayals of super heroines I have ever seen, and Foreplay and Betrayed were not far behind. The Challenge was a great joke on the secret weapon weakening the heroine trope. Starshot was a little one-sided and grim, but wow did she fill out that spandex catsuit. Silk Scarlet was a fun little video. In Admission and in this video, she fillls out the Wonder Woman suit better than anyone I have ever seen. I can’t blame her for liking to play the villainess as a change of pace occasionally, but nobody has done it better when it comes to playing the heroine. I hope she continues to be heroic for many videos to come.

    • bbsucks says:

I think a lot of people would agree that having access to more people (some of whom were big names outside of superheroine/niche content) was indeed great. The fact that it’s not like that anymore has a lot to do with… a lot of things. From the porn industry in general and the business model that a lot of actresses are shifting to, to trends in sales of these videos and the absolute necessity to avoid potential risk in unproven or “grey listed” talent, to people not wanting to or not being able to do certain kinds of content, to probably other factors that I don’t know about.

I’ve done a couple customs where I’ve started with the premise of “I want to use someone new!” and the producer has been great in working with me, reaching out to agents and talent, and trying to line things up, but it’s getting harder and harder to actually get everything to work out. So many barriers.

All that to say, you’re totally right about how awesome those days were. But the shrinking pool of talent certainly isn’t due to a lack of effort from the producers. People are putting in the effort and there are a bunch of new names popping up that I think we’ll start seeing in future videos. Just a matter of who sticks around for the long haul and who comes and goes relatively quickly.

In the meantime, it is awesome that we have our current recurring cast of regulars. They have done so much for us. Personally, while I love getting stuff made with new people, I’m having an increasingly difficult time not just picking Kayla to star in everything. Customs are expensive. I know she’s going to deliver. And when I envision a story, I know exactly what she’s going to look like as a heroine, which makes it easier to plan everything out. And I’m sure other people can say the same for Coco, Ophelia, and others.

      13
      • Ben says:

I understand you’re hesitant about new Talent, it is a complete risk doing stuff with them when you’re spending thousands of pounds on it, I would highlight two that I have noticed and seen a few scenes I’ve already. Kira Fox and Cora Moth… Both available of DCF and TBFE (Though Cora isn’t on the list for DCF, the owner of the site did mention in a pervious thread that she is available to shoot with them

Kira Fox, I did watch her in that LeeCarl production, in my review I did have seen criticism, but the bright spark was Kira… I’ve also had the privilege to correspond with her on Twitter, through some of her Dark Times recently, she’s a truly lovely girl and really enjoys this genre she absolutely loves it… and wants to do more. so I do hope that other people can use her in customs on DCF/TBFE So i can enjoy her in a film.

I certainly believe that in a couple of years time will be talking about her in the same way we talk about Mckenzie, Coco, Alicia, Lucy etc.

Cora Moth, ironically it was someone that blew me away in the trailer of the content that she filmed with TBFE, and then getting mad when I realised it wasn’t a film but just filmed trailer that would never come to light, I have bought a couple of her films on PKF, https://www.pkfstudios.com/updates/necro/reign-of-terror-2/ – Check out the trailer… but trust me I bought this film and she blew me away with the Range that she brought to it, maybe not the best executed film producing wise, but her performance proves that she is definitely capable of taking the genre by Storm in very different and nuanced ways… If she given the chance to!

So I definitely feel that those two in particular if anyone is looking to do something with maybe a new Talent 🙂

I almost feel like the apparent pivot to “only customs” in the genre yields the natural end result of a whole lot of films that feel the same.

        • bbsucks says:

Just my opinion, but I don’t entirely agree.

Sure, it has the ability for that to happen. But that all depends on the customer. One customer may have a set of kinks that make videos seem similar to you (like how someone who doesn’t like rap will think all rap songs sound the same).

But on the other hand, “only customs” guarantees that different people will be driving the direction of a lot of the movies, which has the capability to make things seem very different.

And then even beyond one video to the next, I feel like the genre has trends and stuff. A lot of these custom-only companies have been custom-only for about 10 years.

Like you said, there will be certain elements which reappear because they are personal favorites of mine. But I’m always looking for a new story, and I also want to use different actresses. So far, only Ophelia and Lucy have been in more than one of my movies. They’re simply the best actresses in the genre in my opinion – but even so I would not want them to be in everything. And they won’t be in the next one I wrote (and neither will Coco).

I totally agree, I’m very much starting to see a gung-ho model on sexual peril and seeing a lot of similar methods of achieving that far too frequently. I don’t mean to sound like I’m complaining but I haven’t bought a video in so long because of these very similar concepts basically being seen in a lot of videos.

Sometimes just show a bit of physical peril leading into sexual peril. I just can’t get behind this “only customs” movement because it minimises the potentials of a SHIP movie. Again don’t wanna sound like I’m moaning so please don’t reply with “you want something specific order it yourself” because I’m just not in a position to do so.

Also this is just personal taste but this WW outfit is horrible. What happened to the one Alexis & Amber Mcalester used to wear.

          2
          • bbsucks says:

I get your point about the type of content in some videos and even kind of hold a similar preference that seems to align with what you’re saying, I just don’t get how “only customs” minimizes the potentials of a SHIP movie. To me, it sounds like you just aren’t as into the stuff that some customers are doing lately, and like older movies… that were customs from other people.

There is an inherent risk in custom movies that you may not align with the person at the wheel, so I get why it’s easy to point to as a “bad thing.” But at the same time, you might totally align with the person behind the wheel and it can be a great thing.

Some of my least favorite movies in the genre are customs. But on the other hand, some of my favorite movies in the genre are also customs (and I’m ignoring the couple that I had made. I’m talking about customs from other people).

This probably isn’t worth debating as much as I am, but I very much disagree that “custom only” is bad. I think it definitely has the potential to be bad. But it also has the potential to be good. It’s just a little less predictable and reliable than the producer writing everything. But at the same time, just looking at TBFE, there’s a back catalog of about 200 movies. I don’t think one person was going to come up with all of that stuff. So while not everyone one of those 200 movies are for me, I think I’ve probably gotten more that I like out of the model than if it was all up to one person (likely making significantly less movies).

            4
            • Yolho says:

Alright, let me just clarify quickly I’m not saying customs are bad. Because like you said I too have some good videos that were customs themselves and btw if you have these sort of kinks by all means explore what you like. I’m not hating on anyone’s kinks.

I’m just saying there’s been especially recently too many of the similar types of peril and not enough of something else. I would just prefer from time to time if producers themselves chime in with new content/stories/characters rather than dedicate to a custom only market.

I’m gonna use NGC & Bluestone as examples to my knowledge they don’t make that many custom videos and they follow a storyline that gets threaded through different videos. I prefer that concept of SHIP movies but and this is a more let’s say (last 3 or 4 years maybe more) their peril elements and actresses have considerably dropped off for my tastes. I prefer the more perilous nature of TBFE, RYE etc etc but the stories just fall flat. It’s borderline lame how the heroines are defeated and it’s usually the same execution.

As has already been said by BB, I guarantee if I had written, produced, and released 200 plus films in 10 years, there would be far less diversification than using a custom model. What you’re saying might be true if there were only a tiny handful of folks doing customs. There aren’t and it’s a large enough number that it actually lends to more diversification. We’ve been doing the same model for almost 11 years and every now and again, patterns or similarities will emerge and a thread will blow up with folks complaining about too many similarities. It’s happened before and it’ll happen again in the future. I don’t mean to be reductionist but from a 15 year zoomed out perspective, I have two thoughts. First, when folks say everything is the same or there is too much of the same talent, the translation of this is simply that whatever is on repeat doesn’t appeal to them personally and that there have been a number of releases lately with the same talent. It’s a product of the business model we run. Second, similarities in content and lack of variation in a genre with a finite number of actresses willing to act and a finite number of elements that “fit” into the genre will sometimes lend to a seeming lack of variation. It may surprise folks who need variation but there are even a large chunk of the buying population that doesn’t want variation. I can say this: We’re not personally trying to choose projects or select talent to purposely keep things the same.

      • Hual Hual says:

I partially agree with you. I think the “fear” of spending thounsands of dollars on a custom with an actress that you have barely ever seen is a risk that many can’t take. Especially when it comes to newcomers, I often wished there were some non-custom made films to showcase said talent. That way, people would acknowledge her as a real option. The way it is right now, it is rare to see someone new being picked for the lead role. I was asking myself the same question and went with the “safe option”.
If we had more videos like we had with TBFE in “Atac” or “Uncontrolled”, more people would consider a bigger variety in their customs. I really wished that some of those short teasers that TBFE made for their “Talent options” page were made into actual films

        • TBFE TBFE says:

We simply don’t have enough money or financing to create in-house productions with new talent. It sucks and we’d love to but the money isn’t there. New talent in releases also run a gigantic risk of not selling. “Atac” and “Uncontrolled” effectively lost money as they were partially financed by customers but didn’t cover the full amount and the back sales didn’t cover the rest of it. I don’t think folks actually realize that these films don’t necessarily move as many copies as some may think.

As for the teasers, it was an attempt to allow custom clients to see new talent in motion on screen and I can say after we tried it with a handful of new actresses, it didn’t create interest at all. That’s just the way it goes.

I am in something of the same boat. These days I do want to spread the love around and try new people, but my customs are very acting heavy, both in terms of what we’ll call peril performance and comedy (which is very difficult!) so I tend to favor known quantities, especially as my customs have gotten more expensive and ambitious. After my next TBFE one (funded, not yet filmed) I am thinking of intentionally trying new talent with smaller budgets and seeing what I can do there.

As for the next one, it’s Ophelia plus another yet to be announced cast member (Allen, I’m not gonna break containment on ya) but I think people will still be excited by the pairing I have in mind.

They missed opportunities also to do hardcore or at least near enough hardcore with Gigi Allen Mia Alexis monroe and layla, Lana. All of them are literal pornstars and you can’t make one hardcore video. I like tbfe but they really don’t do much hardcore and even in their explanation of their policy, it still doesn’t make sense. Distortion x is a great move but just combine it with superheroine costumes, and the same kind of role play. You do that u get great uploads like immunity

This one is getting a bit redundant. You’ve been asking for Coco to do insertion assuming because she did it once that it automatically means she’ll do it again. She has the right to do a scene and then choose not to in the future. It’s her choice. And that’s what she’s chosen. There are tons of “porn stars” that have chosen to work with us on a simulated only basis because the aggressive themes and nature of the content. They are not missed opportunities. They never existed. And I”m further not sure how our past. explanation doesn’t make sense. If you want further clarification than what I’ve given, I suppose I can engage in further detail via email. I’m willing to if you want.

TBFE never shot Alexis, we shot Gigi once, and Mia did a handful but dropped out well before Layla and Halsey finally retired. I just mean the past tends to run together.

i dont mind the pie stuff tbh. my complaint about these vids is that depsite everything the heroine is put through, it never really feels like they’ve been corrupted or mind fucked. especially when its coco. and im not trying to be a hater because i think she has some amazing videos but i dunno. someone else said it better, she almost always seems sad and defeated at the end of these vids. but her character is being given toxins and played with voo doo dolls and mind controlled. the final big sex scene should be her as a drooling, smiling, brain broken slut. tongue out, aheago face, all that.

and as for this specific video (and has happened int the past), im wary to spend so much money on it knowin gthat its part 1 of three (!!) and the third part probably wont be out for another 6 months. this video likely doesnt have much of an ending since shes gonna be put through more and more.

It doesn’t have the ending your looking for, neither does part III, and not everyone desires the exact finale preferences you look for and probably picks Coco in part for her “sad and defeated” look. Dunno. Just speculating.

When are we gonna get the type of video, ending concept that Ryle is talking about. The heroine being mind corrupted and broken. I like the idea too. Especially when its villainess on superheroine stuff.

  9. Answers, questions and mayhem. Huzzah to mayhem and I hope you all do not disappoint on that front.
    There will be 3 parts
There is only 1 “pie scene” you pie haters. It is a “white toxin” (flour) , a very short scene and Coco’s face is clean in the next scene. Do not let your assumptions and hate of pie keep you from the rest of this very well planned buffet.
Part 3 will involve not 1, not 2, but 5 different Wonder Women/Amazons, all of which will put Supergirl thru the sexual ringer. Part of thar scene will be reshot in early Fall (so maybe Alicia Moon as one of the WW?)
And…..are we having fun yet you ding dongs? Am open to some suggestions amd ideas from the masses for this reshot scene. Ben, you can go first because I said so. Btw and fwiw, one of these suggestions was from a previous poster and will already be included in this reshot scene. Let us just say that Coco will be spending her time between a lot of Amazonian thighs eating “lunch”.
    Gabba Gabba Hey.

The Notorious P.I.E. breaks his silence! Far as I know this is the first time you’ve revealed yourself on the forum? Thanks for all the commissions. They’re not all to my personal taste but some of them were, and I’m sure it’s good for the genre to have a patron who’s this active over such a long time!

      • Nuthin’ But A ‘P’ Thang, Saxman and you are welcome. I have commented before, maybe not so directly. Over 15 years and I continue to experiment with the proverbial kitchen sink of superheroine fetish. Sometimes what comes out of the oven is grand (solaria v space vixens, batgirl in Wonderland meet the tweedles-cali logan, the cat’s meow cali logan dt wrestling), sometimes not so much. But always take the best and apply to the next. Once you find a good crew you vibe with, treat them with utmost respect and don’t fuck with it. Steal from everyone and everything in the past. Most of all, do not be boring. Allen and crew crushed the Nebula concept. Part 1 is hard, part 2 harder, part 3 will be the hardest. Nebula pulls from a lot of late 60s early 70s euro horror sleaze

Hi Zippy, I also want to thank you for all of the commissions you’ve put in (Solaria v Space Vixens was a classic!). The SHIP genre seems to branch out into many other fetishes, I am glad you’re bringing the BDSM and humiliation game to the poor heroines!

Thank you for your kind request, I don’t really have any ideas necessarily for this series of film… I really enjoy a lot of what you do so I’m fully invested in what you have in store for Parts 2 and 3

I would love to see Alicia C. Moon in a hero role getting humiliated like this in a future film. that’s my only hope! and looking at your response your definitely willing to bring in Alicia to these types of films which is fantastic.

So yeah my only hope is in the future for Alicia be the star of the film like this

Keep up the great work 🙂

    • Reynold says:

Vast majority do not agree with your pie requests. Each to their own but at least allow some time between uploads so that others may request some decent content. Kind of ruins the genre when there are almost 10 videos with pie scenes and toys

      2
      • bbsucks says:

I’m saying this as someone who doesn’t particularly care for the pie thing, but I don’t think you have the data to say a vast majority do not agree with the pie requests. I’m not saying you’re wrong. I certainly don’t have the data to say either way nor do I have any clue what a majority of people like. (I don’t get foot worship either, buy plenty of people like that.)

According to the top sellers page on tbfe, I would point out that Solaria vs. Space Vixens is #2, second only to the original Red Wing, which had a multiple year head start on it. Whether or not that has anything to do with the pie or whether that indicates anything about the whole series of videos is less certain. But it’s a data point that suggests people are buying it, which indicates interest.

At any rate, regardless of whether a majority of people like or dislike the pie stuff, I very much disagree that it’s ruining the genre. Just ignore the stuff you’re not interested in. Video output is down a little bit in recent years, compared to how much stuff was coming out in the past, but across the entire genre, there’s still plenty of stuff coming out. And also years and years of older stuff to explore.

As a fellow non-pie believer, I can say with certainty, that there are still lots of videos available to buy on a regular basis from TBFE and elsewhere. I totally get that it is a little disappointing when a new video pops up on the site and it’s not one you think you’ll be into, but just try to pretend nothing dropped. No harm done.

      • TBFE TBFE says:

When you’ve got the numbers of sales, you can then speak to the “vast majority”. I suspect you don’t. The reality is this: Pie, WAM, Whipped Cream, Shaving Cream – Anything under that umbrella doesn’t move the needle one way or another on sales numbers. I suspect most folks aren’t entirely put off by 3 minutes out of 40 where she’s has some flour on her face. On the flip side, it doesn’t appear folks are racing out to purchase a release for 3 minutes of flour. “Shrugs shoulders”.

Your judgement of “decent’ content” and what is “ruining the genre” also lacks basis as there are multiple folks requesting or writing in wet and messy content which obviously find it’s origins in humiliation. I say lacks basis because I’m not sure how it ruins the genre. It’s just an element and content in a film. I don’t see any of the producers teaming up to release similar WAM content simultaneously although I’m sure releases can drop on top of each other with similar content. You’re simply hyperfocusing on something you personally don’t like but your logic and analysis of a “vast majority”, “decent content”, and “ruins the genre” simply don’t hold water. As has already been mentioned by BB, TBFE’s library contains tons of releases without WAM and TBFE is nothing more than a snapshot of what the community in general is looking for. And I’m guessing although I haven’t counted, there are probably way more than 10 releases containing WAM. some folks want it so we film it. It’s just an element falling under the humiliation umbrella.

trying to keep an open mind with this but the part 1 and more pie stuff has me cautious. i also feel like coco always plays movies where shes supposed to be corrupted or mind broken looking sad and defeated in the end rather than smiling and slutty. can someone describe the ending for coco in this for me before i drop 55 bucks? thx

    • Reynold says:

I like the smiling and slutty endings, if they start with corruption and annoyance/anger instead of sadness I like it. Removes the darker aspect which can be done by others like dark city fiction. Superhero one submission is what tbfe does better.

So. I’m not super into the pie thing so I could be wrong, but I think the angle the person that writes these is going for is humiliation, which is a fairly common thing. The nose hook things are kind of in the same line. Also not my bag, but I’ve seen it around enough to know it’s definitely a kink that many people have.

I’m personally tired of them using the fishnets in every video. I hate them personally and every single video with Coco has them, so annoying… ugh oh well.

    7
    • saxman314 says:

Not all of them. Just all of pie guy’s videos. Lots of tropes that show up in all of those. The fishnets, the pies, the completely helpless bimbofied heroine, nose hooks, usually some super childish play on their name like “StupidGirl” or “OneDumbWoman,” etc. Been that way with the BFE videos and before that with the dtwrestling videos. Power to em, cuz pie guy clearly has deep pockets and I’m sure it goes a long way to making sure BFE keeps on working in this genre, but I’ll probably wait for some other patron’s videos to make more purchases. Think I’ve seen enough of the pie guy videos.

      • Dr G says:

There’s also the pig tails in Pie guy’s custom videos too, which I’m not really a fan of. I think they did some with Cali Logan too. But like you mentioned, it’s their custom and they are keeping Superheroine Peril companies running, so keep the customs flowing ! 🙂

Agreed, everyone is tired of it. I get it he’s paying them but the pie shit caters to such a small audience at that point just make a separate thing for the pie fans. 80%+ of us don’t want it nor the weird super toy shit

        4
      • TBFE TBFE says:

Yes – Pieguy is a regularly occurring custom client and yes, there will be all the recognizable troupes and so on and not everyone is going to like it. Goes without saying. What is worth repeating is that without him and the rest of the folks financing these films, TBFE doesn’t exist. I want to repeat that as we used to film our own productions. This hasn’t been viable for 10 plus years and wouldn’t be viable now. Without customer financed films, there is no TBFE. There isn’t any gray area in here. So yeah, Pieguy gets an occasional release with content you don’t like. It’s for a good cause.

        4
    • TBFE TBFE says:

When a request such as body fishnets happens, we film it. Not everyone is going to like. Not every Coco film has her in fishnets either. Plenty of options without.

No hate. They’re awesome. But new blood is so desperately needed at this point.

Things have gotten really stale across the scene it seems as far as influx of talent.

      • ME92 says:

Judging from the pictures that were previewed earlier, part 2 of this has like 3 new girls in it tho. Not to forget the other 2-3 talents that had debut-films recently, so it’s not going to be as ‘stale’ as one might think hopefully. I for one still adore Coco tho and part 2 of this looks to be out of this world.

        7
