Its been nine days since a new post… no new film drops on the horizon (that I’m aware of) so, I thought it might be a good time to chitchat, do some catch up, get the lay of the land, fight people in the comments… you know the drill.

My next LoFi release will star Constance in a sequel to her previous LoFi film LoFi Tape #05. Lady Arachnid is in and out of an induced chloroform coma after having been kidnapped by the Intruder. She only wakes up to various sexual assaults only to be put out cold again. The Intruder attempts to break her will, as she begs even for the essentials like water, in trade for sexual favor.
The film will most likely come out in August (No promises).

SHL Updates
Touching base with all of you. As you probably noticed all my recent releases have been LoFi films. Various situations caused this, which has been shared in my previous posts, but I assume most of you don’t read everything that I write (cause you have a life and I tend to write too much).
In general a series of situations knocked me off my usual process: last year being robbed by a studio and an actress / customer spending going on a downward slope across the genre (and world) / more recently health problems ultimately leading to the death of a close family member that made it impossible to work for over a month. That being said…
LoFi films that I had in the can have kept it so I have been able to keep editing and releasing films while I prepped for the future. And the future is almost here. I have been working on new costumes behind the scenes, talking to new talent, talking to some fan favorites and I am nearly ready to get back into some bigger production work.
I hope to release some bigger projects this fall/winter, pending things go as planned. Not ready to make any announcements about what those projects will be. But thank you all for your patience and support. I was hoping to get back on track sooner, but some of the setbacks earlier this year demanded that I slow down and spend some time with family.

Thanks for the updates, and the laughs too. Reading your comments often helps release some pressure from work and personal life.
I’m looking forward to the future Black Label release, especially the WW one, and I know it might be a while before you can share any news on that particular project.
Take your time, I’m sure when it’s all said and done, it’ll be worth the wait. All the best with your current and future projects.
Things are always complicated, either because I am making them complicated or external forces are. Recently I have been working on costumes and preproduction stuff again so I always find some solace in that.
You don’t get enough credit for your costumes, truly!
As for the rest, I get it. The way I look at it, you’re a perfectionist, comes with its perks, comes with its quirks too… As for the external forces, well, fuck ’em.

P.S: All my sympathies for the tough moments you’ve had this year. These are the kind of external forces you can’t do anything against, sadly.
Is it me or is this genre losing its spark? Why don’t producers just make their own content and the ones that do I apologise in advance maybe I haven’t seen it, but it seems like most are funded by customs and I’m starting to notice the peril elements are the same. It seems like the customs funded are by the same person/people. This genre is lacking in variety. Variety of actresses, variety of costumes, variety of peril.
It’s why I stopped watching NGC & Bluestone videos because everything about their choreography became identical in every video.
This is just my opinion, feel free to debate me on this. PS side note – I just don’t buy the low blows peril anymore they clearly have no effect on a woman so why would they hurt a superheroine…?
I don’t think there is a debate to be had on this, as you are correct. Most of the active SHIP producers today are running their business by a custom model. And as you can guess – customs being expensive means that people who can afford them dictate most of the content that is released.
Most producers don’t make their own content for a variety of reasons: its a financial risk to do so, they aren’t SHIP fetishist so they aren’t eager to explore personally a fantasy that isn’t theirs, the overall market is slowing down leading to this business becoming more and more of a risk and I think the biggest one is ‘comfort’. It is very uncomfortable to keep making your content different and try things in new ways. When something sells well, its comfortable to lean into the things you know will work, then face the wraith of 30 people who are going to very openly talk shit to you about how the film didn’t go the way they wanted it too. Customs remove all that, they remove the financial risk, they reduce the critism blowback cause it was the customers idea not their personal creativity, etc.
I think the only thing I would challenge you on is ‘notice the peril elements are the same. This genre is lacking in variety. Variety of actresses, variety of costumes, variety of peril.’ I mean… what would you suggest for variety in costumes and peril? What new actresses do you want to see that you haven’t?
I think it’s a lot easier to address the fact that there is a problem and a lot harder to create actionable plans to combat said problem. Like, how can anyone afford to be creative when sales are trending downward with no potential they will go back up? What kind of new peril would be universally considered exciting? Etc
The genre is obviously losing its spark. And the audience also seems to be lethargic about the interest in it. Maybe this SHIP (pun intended) wasn’t made to sail forever. Maybe we need a big pivot to fusing our genre with something adjacent, like anime or something to get renewed interest.

It’s hard to answer that as I would have a lot of costumes that would fit them. It be easier to ask specifically if I had a certain kind of costume rather than me listing out everything I have

Full bodysuit? Yes. I dunno it would fit either actress well, as it was made to Ashley Lanes measurements
