this is the first AI thing im interested in but like… im sorry 40 bucks for this is absolutely insane. it takes little to no talent to create, it doesnt have sets or actors to pay for…. yet you charge the same as a live action video that is a big expensive production? legit the AI videos should be $15 tops and youd sell so many
Hi Boo. A lot more time, goes into something like this, more than most people realize. Just like the live action films, this takes the same amount of editing and sound work (which are the big ticket items with respect to hours of work). Actually, this takes more time because at least with live action films the clips you are working with are a lot more coherent, the audio is more consistent, and you are not boxed in to shooting only 5 second clips like you are with generated clips (which ultimately adds a lot of post work for both video and sound). A creator can spend 2 days shooting a live action film and 2 weeks editing it.. where as this item, raw footage creation took way more than 2 days and editing took way longer than 2 weeks.
As far as the asking price goes, there is a lot that plays into that. From the creators perspective the amount of hours spent constructing it all, I suspect, plays more into the price than ‘what it is’. From a sellers perspective, SHG media, this item sold more than 4 of the last 5 live action releases, suggesting that the market does sorta support the price point. Now, that being said… This content is not for everyone (Its not really for me and I am not sold on its future in this genre) but my greater point is that there does seem to be a market that justifies the price point, its just maybe not the audience that frequents this forum so in turn it may feel a bit out of place here or even absurd.
As someone who does a lot of AI work, especially in the animation bracket – the above statement is largely true. Granted I’m just a small-time creator, but there’s a whole lot of work that goes into making a viable product. I could go into vast amounts of detail about the process, at least as far as what my general workflow is like, but I’ll spare ya, and just say it can get downright tedious.
I’m sorry, you’re right, I lost control. As I said, I was patient, and I understand the situation she’s going through. I sincerely hope she has a very speedy recovery. I exploded as soon as I saw that AI video posted, but it doesn’t justify my reaction. I apologize

Don’t get it, really: Lee Carl is ghosting everybody for years and giving false predictions here and there, than out of nothing posting AI crab. This is far bad communication, but if someone says it like that, he’s gonna be attacked by someone else to have understanding for Lees illness situation. Of course I have fully understanding for that but it doesn’t explain why the communication is underwhelming…

Doesn’t it, though? I would hazard to guess that we don’t get regular updates on his progress because sometimes there isn’t any progress to share and most of the time, he doesn’t know. How often do we need to be told “I’m not sure when this will come out but I’m trying to work on it when I can.”

I honestly don’t get it anymore, is there a reason you’re prioritizing AI releases when people have been waiting TWO YEARS for the rye uk super verse film? Not to mention charging nearly the cost of a real film for this AI cartoon. Is it fair to say it’s never coming out? I’d really appreciate a definitive and direct response at this point. I don’t mean to sound harsh but I think it’s fair to bring these points up.

Step outside and smell grass, preferably nowhere near where I live though. Complaining, and bordering on verbally attacking an extremely sick guy because he isn’t satisfying your niche porn addiction is just insane to me. Now Im not kink shaming, not by any stretch of the imagination, I enjoy them as much as the next person, day that I begin ranting and raving because a guy prioritizes health over $$ is the day I realize that I have a problem. Unless you know the guy personally beyond the online SHIP community, you have no idea just how severe his illness is and thus should show much more sympathy. Im sure that if he could, he would, be pumping movies out and capitalizing on the demand.
