Something I always feel is missing with tbfe corruption videos is the aftermath. I think it’s why people liked breakdown by Lucia so much. When a heroine is corrupted, I want to see the aftermath.
I want to see the heroine’s new role as
1.)a mindless toy
2.)an evil henchman of the villain with a new costume
3.)the villains lover
4.)reduced to a lowlife stripper or some other form of humiliation
agreed with this. it usually feelsl ike it’s ending just as the corruption/mind break happens and we dont really get to see too much of her new personality. (and tbh, it’s also Coco doing the usual thing where her mind break/corruption vids usually just end with her looking sad and empty rather than corrupted/mind fkd)
One Mistake, Gem of Domination and Admission are good examples, really good videos but doesnt really go as far as it could showing the corruption.
Liberation is another one, that would have been one of my favorite vids ever but its weird because the first half has the heroine seeing a version of herself thats telling her not to give in but then the second half forgets about that lol. and the actualg iving in part happens out of nowhere
BUT…. they’ve done really good stuff before. Uncovered 2 & 3 is an all-time SHIP video. her downfall is amazing and we get too see a good amount of the new her at the end. wish TBFE did more like that. and you dont need it to be a multi-part to show downfall like that, as Lucia’s Breakdown shows
but thats why i think ppl are excited about this Thundercats video. it looks like a REAL corruption of the heroine and with Coco doing some stuff we rarely see from her. hope it releass sooner than later
It’s tricky. You only have so much budget and so much time. I wrote Uncovered (and One Mistake, though less relevant here). I don’t think I could have done what I did in one movie. At least not the way I like it. I will admit, the concept of “corruption” isn’t actually important to me. The thing I like is consequences. Which I think you probably do, too. But only one specific consequence. But I imagine we’re both probably aligned on the fact that consequences are what set a true defeat apart from a moment where a heroine gets KOed for, like, 5 seconds before being fine and continuing like nothing happened as we might see on TV or in comic books.
The problem with consequences is that they take time to show. And in my case, a thing that is similarly important to me is credibility. Like, sure it’s hot to see a girl in a sexy superheroine outfit taken down, but it’s hotter to see Wonder Woman from the TV show taken down because we know her, we know the format, and we know that she’s probably not going to lose. I don’t think the downfall is as fun if you don’t take the time to establish heroism. But that takes time, too. Obviously different people will do things differently, but for me, I need to establish credibility, actually spend some time on the defeat, hopefully adding something new/fun that we haven’t seen before (otherwise, why pay to have it made?), then show the consequences of the defeat. That’s a lot to fit into a day of shooting. And adding a second day is $$$$$. I’ve spent a fair amount of money on customs over the years, but my pockets aren’t bottomless. I would do way more if I could afford it, but what I have done is exactly as much as I’m able to.
But that was the best part of Uncovered 3 (which I didn’t even plan to write until Uncovered 2 was already in the TBFE production queue). That whole movie started with the premise of “she’s already down and out from Uncovered 2. What happens next?” and it was basically all consequence with any semblance of heroism being established in 1 and 2. But if it was JUST starting from there, I don’t think it would have carried the same weight.
But yeah. Everyone wants different things. One Mistake, for example. That one showed exactly as much of the corruption as I wanted it to, because this hyper specific concept of corruption that people write about a lot and judge so many movies on simply isn’t a thing that means anything to me and wasn’t the goal, as I’m sure is the case for a lot of these movies. That’s the thing with funding customs. If you want a specific thing, that is the way to get it. TBFE customs are pretty expensive, but he gives you EXACTLY what you ask for.
How expensive are they? Now I’m tempted
It varies quite a bit based on a ton of factors (the itemized price sheet is about 40 lines long, and I think it’s probably expandable based on the request), but it’ll be multiple thousands.

Totally agree. Not just that, but I wouldn’t mind seeing something a redemption arc in some cases where the heroine struggles to overcome the corruption/defeat and escapes. Or tries and fails, cementing her fate.

Patient Zero was really good tho. it didnt go as far as i had hoped cause it was just kinda the usual Coco thing of looking sad and emotionless but the actual story was pretty good. just wish there was more time spent with the mind broken Coco

Honestly, as great as many of the still-active actresses are at selling the characters, Coco’s been the only one in the last decade whose videos have been buy on sight for me (it’s a subjective fetish, so I know not all share the same views, and that’s fine).
