“Nightmare 2” – a Luciafilms Original Film Series

NEW YEAR, NEW NIGHTMARE!
(New Camera!)

The long awaited sequel to our personal favorite film, Nightmare: https://player.vimeo.com/video/1056243362?h=fd194de42c&title=0&byline=0&portrait=0&badge=0&autopause=0&player_id=0&app_id=58479
-which was Lucy Westenra’s very first outing as a heroine lead! This film series totals two and a half hours, and is split into three productions. Originally I was going to work on them one by one and release them over time, but I felt like it was worth it to do and release them all at once for a more complete experience, as well as other complications, see below. All three parts are available separately, or in a single discounted pack! (Part one is a little cheaper than the second two because it is a little heavier on narrative!)
There should also be a bit of a resolution quality jump in these, as I am filming on a new camera now with a bit more fidelity.

As for where I went and what happened with me, there will be a message at the bottom of the post about that.

——————–

Amanda Coulter, or “Starwave” (Lucy Westenra), has been reeling from her run in with the dream demon Mockylock for years, attending specialized Superhero trauma counseling that seems to be going nowhere. Worse, her therapist (Ariana Rogue) increasingly seems to have an agenda of her own.

What follows is an epic journey of peril and horror as Mockylock’s (Lu-Lewd) threat about his many siblings is brought to terrible life, and Starwave tumbles down the rabbit hole in a conflict between what is real and what isn’t. Join Starwave as she runs from her increasingly ruinous nightmares to see if she can survive with her sanity intact, or if she will come out the other side…. changed forever.

This film series includes an all-star cast with countless cameos and appearances.

THE PHOTOS WILL BE ADDED IN BLOCKS FOR WHICH FILM THEY ARE FROM. TO KEEP FROM DROWNING THE PAGE IN PHOTOS ONLY A FEW WERE SELECTED PER, I AM INCLUDING A LINK TO A DROPBOX WITH ALL OF THE PHOTOS FROM EACH ONE. Obviously photos will include spoilers. ♥

NOTE FROM THE PRODUCER/UPDATE:
So! As.. I think Lucy might have mentioned in a post of her own, I received a pretty critical spinal injury a few months ago, which is why I haven’t really been around. I’ve been in and out of the hospital/emergency room since, though my recovery is going very well. For about a month I lost the use of my left arm and hand, and despite having a pretty considerable experience with violence and pain, discovered a whole new REALM of pain I didn’t even know was possible. Spinal nerves are a hell of a thing. Please protect them.

The only reason I am around at all is due to the aid of some community members, some of whom are from here, that allowed me to hold onto my studio while I recovered. I am still recovering, and I might always be recovering, at this point. But I was able to get my hands on a much, much lighter/manageable camera system, and slowly start trying to film again. That is why Nightmare 2 is in so many parts and places, because for much of it I could only hold the camera up briefly before my arm would give out.

Impossibly grateful to all of our talent who pitched in and helped me with the weird shoot timelines and extra complications from my injury. Just the most amazing people you will ever meet. The silver lining of course is that it slowly created a film (set) that is unlike anything we’ve been able to film before in scope and concept, with only maybe Wonderous Woman in Captivity coming close.

I haven’t been answering Custom e-mails because I wasn’t sure I could film at all, or if I would hold onto my studio/home long enough to make good on it. Hopefully Nightmare 2 is well received, and I can slowly continue production again. I’ll be reaching out to people who have e-mailed me here very soon. Thank you for your patience.

If you’d like to reach out for a custom, please do here- luciafilms.customs@gmail.com

And from the bottom of my heart, thank you all for helping support me and this community as a whole, for as long as it is viable.

OK, I finally finished this and I’ll be blunt from the start: this is one of the best SHIP releases ever and I think it means Lucia has the two best releases of 2025, coming in just behind Breakdown.

WARNING: THERE WILL BE SPOILERS IN THIS COMMENT.

First of all, this is easily Lucy’s best performance EVER. I’m serious, there was some god damn ACTING happening here. The way she played this character all the way to the end, pushing through everything and the refusal to give in. And that all led up to the moment she finally gave in with the “but… I beat you…” and the defeated emotionless stare, immediately followed by the push down to her knees and the camerawork. PERFECT.

Everyone’s acting was great across the board but I also need to give a shout-out to Alicia Moon as The Weaver. We never get to see her in roles like that and now it makes me want a full movie of her mind breaking/corrupting a heroine.

So that brings me to the direction, which might actually be the best direction I’ve ever seen in a SHIP film. SO many unique shots and setups, with some of the coolest transitions I’ve seen in one of these movies. And they fit perfectly because of the nightmare theme of the story.

The story of which was again, first class stuff. I went back and watched the original Nightmare before and the whole saga is just a brilliant tearing down of the heroine. Now I don’t think you need a 3-4 part story to do that, as shown in Breakdown, but it certainly helped by allowing for more space to have her downfall dragged out across a longer story.

Amazing, incredible stuff. Now I do have a criticism, which is what kept it a step away from the greatness of Breakdown.

I think there’s often a problem with corruption/mind break SHIP films where the actual ending feels a little rushed after an incredible video (Starshame 2 comes to mind) or that it actually seems to go backwards on the actual giving in that we saw a few minutes earlier and I think Nightmare 2 falls into that trap.

Everything from the “but… I beat you…” moment I mentioned above onward was incredible and exactly what I look for form a corruption story. The problem is that it kind of went back on the giving in we had just seen. Her falling to her knees and then the B/G scene where she kept getting more and more aggressive and potentially evil. But then it ended kind of abruptly with her looking dazed and as if she regretted giving in, which didn’t really fit the entire plot, which was that the villain wanted her to give in and become one of his siblings. So it didn’t really seem like he fully won yet.

So I think we should have seen that. Scenes of her fully corrupted. The happy, smiling, giggling version of her that had come out a couple times earlier but was now here permanently. In my head, I imagined after the B/G scene, her waking up in the real world one final time and we see Mockylock waiting for her. She smiles and throws away her heroine outfit, which disppears, and we then get one final scene of a fully corrupted real life Starwave and Mockylock together.

I just think that for a corruption/mind break story, it really needs to give us a little time with the post-corruption heroine to really let the darkness of the ending sink in. This is something that Breakdown did AMAZINGLY well and why it’s maybe the best Lucia video ever, as we get a good amount of time with her after she gave in it never goes back on that.

Obviously I spent a lot of time on my issues with the actual ending of the film, which might make my impressions sound more negative than they actually are. So to be clear again: this is one of the best SHIP films ever released. 90% of it is perfect, from the story, to the acting to the direction. I had some issues with the very end but this is 100000% worth buying at full price and anyone who is a fan of the genre should!

this looks INCREDIBLE!!! definitely picking it up this weekend. really hoping that the ending for Starwave is as dark and corruption-y as possible, as thats what makes the best vids

  5. Droxillian says:

This was amazing! Truly epic with fantastic performances and ingenious scenarios. Lucy was spectacular, and I loved the cameos – especially Xiphos! I really appreciate the time and effort that went into this i.e. the wonderful web scene. The outdoor sequences also help to offset the limited studio space, which in previous productions have sometimes felt be a bit claustrophobic . It’s the perfect sequel to the original Nightmare.

Every now and then Lucia releases a film which I buy and watch mostly because it looks really special and not because I expect it to be particularly satisfying with regards to my personal preferences. This is one of these cases. (Supporting Lucia after all they’ve been through – and are still going through – was also an incentive this time.)
It’s a very ambitious, impressive production. So many ideas, characters, locations – most notably of course the scene in the woods -, so much work put into costumes, makeup, sets… Not everything looks great (the fake ears of the Brother, the wolf mask), but kudos! The transitions between dream and reality (or another dream in some cases?) are also something that stood out for me.
The actors all do fine job. But of course Lucy is the heart and soul of this movie (series). She really gives her all. I’ve stated the opinion before that she has the best acting skills in the genre, and this film should convince people who doubt that (if there are any). I also found Alicia’s performance especially entertaining. She should really get to play a villainess in a bigger role in the future. I would have liked to see more of her Weaver playing with the heroine.
The movie is very episodic even within each of the three parts, and that could be considered a narrative weakness. I for one was a bit disappointed that none of the siblings had more than one appearance, even when the story seemed to have much more potential, e.g. with the jealous Brother. But of course the cracks in the narrative can pretty much all be explained by pointing to the characteristics of a dream. Clever.
I do have to say that I did enjoy the sexual content even less than I had expected, because the scene with Ariana, which was my best bet, was simply too weird or nightmarish or whatever for that. But I don’t regret the decision to buy the film.

Great review D_Hoffryn, agree with all of it. I’ve only watched the first 2 parts (want take my time with it)

The thing i love about it… is how the horror stays with you… like your watching a horror film in some parts, tense and thrilling, i’ll give a full review after i’ve watched final part

Alicia’s role was brilliant, Maybe she can be a villianess in your next production down the line D_Hoffryn. I would love to see her do a few villian roles in the future 🙂

Big fan of everything about this. Just jumped in to say after a severe shoulder separationn and nerve damage that cost me my left arm (gradually returning over more than a year), PLEASE do PT, and keep your left hand/arm stretched and limber during paralysis. Try moving everything every day. Stuff won’t work, but you’re still firing neurons and helping them heal. Good luck!

  10. Condor4815 says:

Really applaud Lucia’s creativity and always pushing the envelope, but man do I miss the SHIP era of maybe 6-7 years ago when the emphasis on these movies were on the heroines in costume most of the time and peril being more beat down focused, giving us ample time to see heroines being worn down as true heroes. Not at all a dig on Lucia, this goes for all producers, it’s been a while since I’ve seen a movie that got me really excited. Films like the Rye Hands of Man series, the Gigi Parolee video, things like that. Air tight and well paced, costume almost stays on the entire time, sexual peril showing up at the end, etc.

As much as I dont want to agree, I share the same sentiment

      4
    • SHL SHL says:

I think you are just describing films that Rye use to make. I see this sentiment often pop up and for me, I dunno what you described is so vague that I cant help but feel that you are describing 80 percent of all the films that have come out in the last 5 years. Like… how isn’t that what TBFE is always releasing?

I don’t know this is good conversation to have on Lucias film post. But I do think if you or people who agree with you are reading this, one of you needs to find a way to articulate it and explain how that isn’t what you are mostly getting with this genres films.

I dunno. I like to think I am of normal intelligence and I can’t really make sense of how that isn’t what you are always getting.

big disagreement here for a couple reasons. first, theres so many freaking vids out there like that. TBFE releases them all the time. Lucia’s Breakdown was this year and one of the best SHIP videos ever. had beatdowns along with a bunch of other elements. i want lucia doing new and interesting stuff like this

Glad to hear Lucia is recovering, Lucy’s been holding the fort down really well with her productions…

Looks like an EPIC production and glad lucy had a blast doing it.

P.S love to see Ariana Rogue take the lead on your next bigg original project… She deserves a Heroine role like this 🙂

Lucy here! This project has been so ardently awaited, I’m ecstatic that it’s finally out! I got to do so many things I’ve never done before on-screen, work with old and new friends, do stunts and go places that have not been possible before, and I couldn’t be luckier to get to work so closely with Lucia. Thank you, all of you, and I really hope that you take the opportunity to get a copy of this film series. Man, it was a blast.

Loved it! You have grown on me Lucy, always enjoyed you as a villian but as a heroine was a little harder sell for me but lately you have been knocking it out of the park.

Love the new hair cut and your presence just seems so much more regal and heroic. Hope to see you in more productions soon!

Best of luck with your recovery. I had issues at C4/5 (cord compression) and lost the use of my left arm. After a C4/5 ACDF, I made a full recovery (took a few months). Nerve pain is the worst, and it doesn’t matter what position you are in; it always hurts.

Doing my best! I am fortunate enough to know a few people who do PT, so I have been leaning on them a bit for advice. I’m currently in pain at all times, and that might just be the new norm, but I am beyond happy to have regained the use of my arm and hand, and I will take that trade any day.

Thank you. It was REALLY fun to film outdoors, though of course it is EXTREMELY hard to, give the kind of content we film. We had like a tiny window of assured privacy and kinda guerilla ran in, shot it, and out.

Intense props to Lucy. It’s off and on freezing rain in Oregon right now… and… yeah. You can see what she’s wearing.
