Luciafilms on the Scene! (Sneak Peek!)

Hey everyone! We’re very excited to begin transitioning to the new site, for all the reasons exhaustively mentioned/discussed already. We’re very much hoping it will help us produce and communicate with the community with a bit more stability and predictability. Westenra Productions will be making the move here soon as well!

In the meantime, we wanted to give you guys a sneak peek at one of our upcoming projects, deep in the editing process and slated for release before month’s end. A sneak peek only found here.

More soon!

I must say that the Spicy performer gets the Milla Jovovich Leelah characterization down very well. And may also say that Lucy is still looking magnificent in superheroine spandex?

This looks fun! Spicy has been great to work with, so I’m glad to see them getting more roles in the genre.

Glad you see you (and Lucy) both on here.

I’M SO HYPED FOR THIS SCENE! The 30sec preview was EPIC!

I will of course be buying it as seen as soon as it comes out and we’ll give it my staple long review ready for hopefully enticing people to buy

I think we all know it’s going to be amazing, Lucia never do a bad film. Your like the Christopher Nolan of our time

Actually Christopher Nolan is the Christopher Nolan of our time, for he is very much alive and making movies.
But Lucia is great, I agree.
Although – with regards to your “never do a bad film” remark – personally I think that the last part of “WW in Captivity” was pretty bad (at least not good), because it had a lot of narrative problems.

I meant “Christopher Nolan of our time” being in our SHIP community

I have to agree with you that the Third part… I was disappointed in (massively actually) but I think overall Wonder Woman in captivity was certainly not a bad movie, it was a great film with a bad ending.

I actually think the second part of the Slayer I’m a little disappointed in, I thought it was edited badly, it just felt rushed like they needed to get it done to get it out and it’s sorely needed a bit of extra care.

Plus the superheroine part of it was badly out of place, I’ve actually re-edited that movie and taken out the superheroine part. it just didn’t need to be in there… Its a Buffy story. So my version of the movie that I have now rendered is perfect.

        I have re-edited a couple of films over the time, like a director’s cut but actually it’s a consumer’s cut. haha 🙂

I feel like Lucia is more the Jess Franco of our time 🙂

Big reminder that both of those movies are customs, and our control over the scripts are pretty limited. ^_^; And that we usually film these in about seven hours start to finish, so everything we do is insanely rushed in general. We’d *kill* for the opportunity to film something with anything even -remotely- approaching a normal film schedule- haha.

But! I cannot disagree about the WWiC thing, the third part is definitely the weakest! It makes more sense as a single script, but of course we had to split it up for time. Just a lot of behind-the-scenes hoops to hop through for all of this.

But yes, not every movie we make is good, for sure, but what you can be certain of is that we try! Off the top of my head, I feel like – Jealousy will always be our all-time low. That film is *awful*. There are BTS reasons, naturally, but woof. Stinkers do happen for sure! We just try our best where we can with the wildly complexities of the genre and I feel like our average is pretty good!

          Thanks for watching!

Believe me, I am very aware of the limitations with which you have to work (including having to stick to scripts by people like me), and I suppose most people here are. It’s more than impressive what you and other producers achieve under these circumstances and that most of the movies turn out so good.

this has a 5th element vibe that i’m sniffing out… looks awesome.

is that Xiphos as the lead? whoever it is looks amazing!

    • Lucia Films Lucia Films says:

5th Element is my favorite movie, so you’re right on it. If only we had that kind of budget!

And the lead is Spicy, a new talent we’re working with! This will be their debut.

      • Ben Ben says:

I’m as excited to see Spicy debut in this genre (As a Lead anyways)… As i’m excited to see Alicia was a hero turned villain

as the news of a certain models departure from Luciafilms… and Lucy certainly spending more time on her studio… Luciafilms is still in amazing hands with the true icon that is Alicia C. Moon and new firecracker in spicy (and hopefully down the line Kira fox)

They truly are the most incredible, expansive, talented with taking so many risks and executing masterfully every time.

They are the true Oscar winners of this genre.
