@lucy – Enjoyed the silliness of this film (new costumes are always great) and as someone already mentioned, the change in tone once the real peril began. Anything else in the works that you can let us look forward to? I’m a huge fan of Ariana Rogue, and think you (and Lucia) are awesome for finding her. I’m currently not in the ordering customs position in life, but would if I could!
We actually will be working with Alicia Moon and Ariana together in a film soon! Very excited to get to work on that.
Awesome!! She is one of the best peril (sim) in the business IMO. If you find anyway to have her “lose herself while losing” I’d eternally owe you one (:
Wow! As a producer who always tries to evoke Bronze Age vibes, I heartily applaud this production. Besides the usual touchstones like Baywatch or Jane Fonda, this had me thinking about the classic ‘Aerobicide’ episode of Black Scorpion, and of course, the classic Flashdance set in our own hometown.
Only one question for mastermind Snidely, though: is someone who works for the DEA (a government agency) really called a ‘vigilante’? She would actually be an ‘agent’, no?
As for Lucy, major kudos for attaining visual and dramatic perfection in the skintight! The soundtrack put me in the mind of 80s roller discos with rink patrons speeding around in their gleaming tights and leotards to the strains of Shannon’s “Let the Music Play” and other such freestyle classics.
May I offer a suggestion for the title of the second installment: “(She Works) Hard for the Money”. If you don’t use it, I will! (eventually)
Thank you! This is going to sound like a cop out (so to speak) but I absolutely intended the “vigilante” thing specifically to not make sense. It was part of an overall theme of implausible ridiculousness and wish fulfillment, in that it makes no sense but sounds cool.
i agree with the points you raised on 1980s style. i know 100% of what you are referring. all of this is part of the pantheon of glamour that influences superheroine peril flix to this day. i can’t imagine anyone better than lucy at recreating these proto-heroines and their action-packed, sexy vignettes.
I really appreciate customers who bring us this kind of fun, extraordinary movies. I sadly have to pass on this as it is just not my cup of tea. Too young to have experienced the 80s and I already feel like this decade is over-represented in current media and style. But for those who enjoy it, I’m sure it’ll be a great experience. What I found most entertaining is the hint to a sequel, I would love to have a series with multiple episodes. A connected, ongoing story is what I miss the most when it comes to our big producers in the genre but well, you can’t have it all. The production value looks as high as usual with Lucy
That looks pretty hilarious. The retro vibe looks good too. Reminds me of the age of TV tropes.
This was my custom (funded months after “The Rookie” but shot the same weekend due to… things) and Lucy absolutely crushed it. I cannot believe how well it came out. Her prop and costume work is top notch, and she found so many fun beats in the script to zhuzh up like an 80s hairstylist. Once I got this insanity down on the page I knew it had to be Lucy.
This was an homage to all those sleazy shows that used to be on at 11, like Silk Stalkings and Dangerous Curves and so on, but with what I secretly hoped would happen (curse you, Standards & Practices!)
One thing that Lucy did really well is separate the goofiness from the sex, so if you’re the type of person who finds comedy distracting and generally hates it when your meat touches your potatoes, you’re in luck.
If you remember the 80s, you’ll love it. And if you don’t… trust me… it was exactly like this. I swear.
Thanks for the custom; lots of funny lines and scenes.
Early in the weekend my friend and I watched Baywatch (S2E1-3) for the first time
(we were millennials so not much familiar with 90s latenight shows but we experienced the vibe.. ),
after watching Family Guy where Seth MacFarlane parodied Baywatch in the episode. We actually started from the 2017 Baywatch firm; eh… nope… after 10 mins. Then turned to the 90s TV show and felt more enjoyable especially when seeing the parody scenes reflected in Family Guy. I do feel the production of Family Guy/The Orville is largely inspired by Tropedia/TV Tropes. Love the late 80s vibe, and more importantly people who edited those classic trope scenes.
Definitely gonna pick it up. I love the goofy synth wave vibe. Kung Fury as a peril flick!
This guy absolutely gets it! Synthwave is my work/writing music most of the time. This one was practically made for you (except that it was actually made for me)
Haha same, I run a production studio as a side business and gig for a day job. My own stuff is mostly synthwave lol we should collab. You on discord?
Yup! I’m doctorsuarez66
Love to see music discussed on this site, I wish there was more discussion like that and that interesting soundtracks were part of the production equation more often. I enjoy the synthwave vibe as well, except for me, I go back far enough that my influences are actually pioneers like Gary Numan, Giorgio Moroder, Kraftwerk or John Carpenter and not the millennials trying to ape them three decades later. That’s why our own episodes have titles like “Crushed by the Wheels of Industry”, “Liquid Engineers”, “Empire State Human” or “Anger Is an Energy”. Anyway, keep up the 80s-revival synth vibes – it’s a good time!
Unfortunately for millennials who enjoy that music enough to learn how to make it, all we can do is ape it. Dems da breaks! But it’s a lot easier these days, and totally self-indulgent… or as I like to call it, fun!
Impressive and hilarious at the same time. Brings back memories of 1983
Love seeing the comedy in this one, where Lucy’s charm has a chance to really shine!
Lucy is such a stunner
Lucy is so good, could we commission her to do hardcore?
I’d settle for g/g like the prisoner with her receiving than giving (great film btw). We can dream…either way she’s a great actress.
I only do sim, but I’m flattered that you asked!
I’m kind of relieved. If you did, l would be broke haha. Same with social fan sites.
Like a good friend told me… shiny costume, Lucy and naked Lucy. This will hit my bullseye. How right he was. This looks fantastic. As a slightly older SHiP-per, this bring back some great memories.
A+
Hell yeah! This is fantastic- hahaha.
